We booked the Squishmallow experience for our two children and also an anniversary gift. The experience was brilliant and the staff are very attentive. For a 5 star Hotel it is very family friendly which was really appreciated. The room on the 22nd level was very clean and well presented with a wonderful view of the city skyline and pool. The food was divine and the buffet breakfast had ample options to select and enjoy with a lovely view.

We always enjoy staying at this great hotel. But on our second last day, when we came back to our room, around 3pm, we saw the cleaners were next door, one was sitting on the floor with the dirty towels cleaning a glass. But when we went into our room which had been cleaned, the wash cloths were missing, a glass & a cup were also missing. The bathroom amenities were not freshened, the supple of tea bags were not replenished. Also we were supposed to receive a complimentary turn down service, but when we arrived back at our room after going out for dinner around 8.30pm no turn down service. We really value this service it is always nice to come back to your room, the bed looks inviting turned down and the towels if used are refreshed. When you showered no matter how careful you were the water from the shower leaked outside the drain and flowed onto the tiles. We had to use the fresh towels to constantly mop up the water running on the bathroom tiles. The overhead lights in the little area where the suitcases were stationed did not work. The tiles on the outside area had been damaged in the past and someone had roughly concentrated a loose tile that had been damaged, looked shoddy. Looked like patch work. We also told the receptionist twice, the phone in our room was not working and by the time we checked out it still wasn’t working. The reception staff were outstanding and lovely , showed great empathy. The hotel is looking tired and the rooms need some updates. We don’t like to write these comments as it is a great location and more relaxing than the bigger enormous hotels. Our room was # 2320.

Accomodation service meals, laundry and room housekeeping extremely satisfactory but the loss of my walking poles between lugauge holding at and transport from Swissotel to Pier One and Crown Princess left a sour note.
