I miss having a front desk, the lighting in the rooms was weird, it was either everything on or everything off, couldn't turn on off specific lights, also, bathroom dark, hard to see in mirror to shave in morning, bathroom counter felt cluttered for two people, no room to put toiletries. First night, could hear music from outside, but once called front desk, the music stopped. Otherwise, room was very nice, location is great, this was my second stay, though at about double the price from 2017. Last year, I stayed at Capitol Kempinski for less $, but room, character and service superior. I had planned to stay Intercontinental Bugis, but they threatened to cancel my reservation ten days before my arrival because they wanted to run cc early ( I had travel alerts with dates for the my credit cards). I rebooked Swisotel to have certainty about having a room. I am a former Accor Manager (34 years ago) so know I can depend on this brand. I also live very near the first and original historic Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, passing it on my way to and from work every day.

Was disappointed when the bath was choked and water couldn’t be released hence called housekeeping. Subsequently at midnight after shower, realized hair dryer was not working as the adapter has broken off and couldn’t connect and called housekeeping again. When bathing, water overflowed despite me being very careful. The session was really bad and the floor mat was all wet. Till today, the $100 hold on my credit card has yet to be released despite me not consuming anything.
